In 2018, Dom was hand chosen by Nikon Headquarters Japan to be one of ten photographers worldwide to represent the new mirrorless Nikon Z series camera. To celebrate this honour a team of beyond continent professionals (from Japan & the UK) joined Dom on a once in a lifetime BTS Culinary road trip across Melbourne & country Victoria. With the Z6 in hand, in her element – capturing what she loves most. Dom directed and photographed exquisite shots across a variety of locations. Capturing both celebrity chefs, their dishes, and amazing landscapes around Victoria.
“I travel a lot for work, so I need equipment that is comfortable, to the point where it feels like an extension of myself. No matter the shoot circumstances or brief, I want to be sure I can trust in my camera – when I need it to go the extra mile it will. After shooting professionally for nearly two decades it takes a lot to impress me but the way the Z6 shoots in low light was very impressive! This set up is also surprisingly lightweight. This made me feel instantly comfortable & allowed me to move freely when shooting.”

“Putting aside the fact that a debilitating fear of heights and that this day was one of the windiest on record for Melbourne, I think we did well trying to shoot this segment out on the open skydeck. From the top of Eureka Tower to touring in a helicopter were particularly challenging for me. It was times like this that I was glad I had such reliable, quality equipment, with great VR.”
